Primary Children’s Hospital - Child Life Specialist – Salt Lake City, UT September 2019-Present
• Works as a Certified Child Life Specialist in the outpatient lab
• Provides developmentally appropriate procedural preparation and support for blood draws and a variety of medical procedures throughout the hospital
• Facilitates the normal growth and development of pediatric patients through normalization and medical play
• Provides support and education for patients and families newly diagnosed with diabetes in the outpatient clinic
• Has served as a lead and member of holiday and team building committees
• Provides staff education and presentations for phlebotomy staff and supervisors at hospital and offsite locations
• Hosts weekly Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) programming broadcast throughout the hospital
